Curaçao Business Point
Curaçao Business Point is an initiative of the Curaçao Chamber of Commerce and Industry to grant international exposure to our business community.
Local enterprises can register free of charge on the website after signing a code of ethical conduct; the website was first launched on 2 June 2016.
The need for international exposure was identified in the “Advancing Export of Services” survey and during the various service industry conferences held during 2013 and 2015. Furthermore, participating entrepreneurs emphasized the need for support to enter new overseas markets.
CaribConnect
The Chamber is also involved in the virtual portal CaribConnect.
CaribConnect provides a digital platform and international network, connecting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the Caribbean overseas countries and territories (OCTs) with other entrepreneurs, mentors, investors as well as financial institutions to boost their growth and become competitive and successful in their internationalization.
The platform offers professional services, assisting entrepreneurs in improving their business plans with the main goal of being investment ready.
Who organizes the Curaçao Business Point Conferences?
The Curaçao Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in 1884 following a first setup back in 1828. Since 1945 the Chamber is completely independent from government.
The Chamber’s board consists of a total of 9 private sector board members whom are all chosen by the electorate of registered business people.
The Chamber is the official representative of the private sector as well as the focal point in its network, with the purpose of enhancing the general welfare and interest of the whole business community.
